The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Point the first! Even though his full name is, well, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, everyone in canon refers to him just as England. Partly because that's what the Japanese do, and also partly because some of the strips take place before the UK exists. Mostly, though, because it seems he really is just England, being a representative for the UK (we know his "brothers" also exist). So, generally, we'll be referring to him as England. If your character can recognize who he is, you don't have to follow that -- you can call him UK, Britain, whatever you want. Generally, however, he'll be introducing himself as Arthur. Not anymore! They've given up trying to hide.

And secondly, I am not British. And I am very very nervous to be playing a country that is not mine. And unfortunately, England's not very British in canon himself, simply because it's... in Japanese. This leaves me without a specific voice for him to go off of. I am definitely going to try my best to bring out a British voice in him (although it makes me nervous about going overboard, haaah) but I have no illusions about the level of success I'll have at that. So, basically, kick me when I'm doing it wrong -- when I do or say something a British person wouldn't, etc. I will flail and get guilty and then proceed to fix it as much as possible, so really, don't feel bad about correcting me. I'll need it.
